Dutch Resin Tech Models (RTM) will release a 3D printed early turret for the T-34 model in 1/16 scale from Trumpeter.
My question is - of the 1/16 scale T-34s out there, are the other components available to make it a 100% correct early version, i.e. square fuel tanks, tow hooks?
Trumpeter makes four separate T-34 kits in 1/16; two of them are T-34/76s and one has the two separate hatches, which is the Model of 1943.
Given the printed texture, and the fact that, at a glance I don’t see too many differences between this and the Trumpeter Mickey Mouse turret that most modelers could not add themselves. I’m not sure I see the advantage here.
No. This version is the earliest Mickey mouse turret. As far as I know it was only fielded with the Rounded back/small rectangular inspection port used with the small turrets. They did not have grab handles, hacksaws or any kind of fuel drum.
