D-Day Miniature Studio surprised us with their latest release. Interesting choice of subject!
Not a bad looking set, but that Cylon helmet looks small to me.
Nice job on that raindrop cammo.
At first I thought it had something to do with the Normandy landings…
Matching ride (from Panzershop) ?
H.P.
Nice to see some figures of rarely seen subjects. DDay Minis sculpts and casting are top class too.
I have a couple. I may have to build one.
I’ve always wanted to do another wall scene with Grenztruppen. These are photos I took back in the day and posted on another thread.
Some of them serving in the '50s and '60s sure did fight the Allies in Normandy…
Should be easy enough. You could have the Grentztruppen on one side and an M151A2 with a couple of US Army MPs on the other side. The 287th MP Co (Sep) was tasked with security in Berlin during those years.
I’ve actually done a wall patrol or two in 151’s almost exaclty as pictured. But it wasn’t only the MP’s - various infantry units from the 502nd did them as well.
I’m thinking of something a little different this time.
I’;ve mentioned the sand bags covering the bumper numbers in an unrelated thread. But we did have US flags on ours.
