Thats a great pose J … really dynamic stance … wrist angle is spot on as well for that bent over position :+1:

Maybe a little veggie patch…never know when you might need those extra vitamins!
 :canada:

@John-Thanks buddy. It took some patient adjustments to make that wrist an hand conform I won’t lie,
@Biggle ??? Are you suggesting I need more ESG conformity ? Should I consult Blackrock for guidance ?

I really have no idea what you’re talking about as my last few comments were in response to “metalhead85”!

sorry, not used to this page any more and its’ workings. Different format for me.

I fixed the pile of spent brass a bit plus added more singles. This pic is before I add the assistant because he will block the view. This guy is from the Dragon set that includes the lafette but he needed a lot of work to conform to what he is meant to be doing. I ended up attaching his hands to where they were supposed to be and then conformed his arms to meet the hands. The last seam was covered by a wristwatch from AllianceModels PE. Sadly out of business now.

I was on a roll one night when I wanted to build a MG42 with lafette. I got out my old Dragon kit and tried to bring out a better looking presentation than the kit. I used a Dragon GENII gun and added a bit to the mount.

Thanks buddy.

Now I see Dragon announced a new version of the gun with lafette. It would be nice to see if they made it “posable” and let you adjust the front leg and also swing the 2 back legs up. The mount could be flattened and made so it sat right on the ground. It has 2 spades built into the back under the sighting slide mount for that purpose.

Detail is outstanding Jerry- excellent work!

Thanks for the tip about placement in hands. It makes sense to fit the hands first.

@ Metalhead and Barney-hey thanks fellas. Glad you liked it and the tip works for you Barney.
Here is the company command hole. I have reached burnout with this project so replaced the planned Commanders runner with a panzerfaust crate. Poor sod lost his job.
The commanders tools are a sector sketch, signal pistol because yelling over loud fire power is futile along with colored star flares. Rounded out by field phone for commo with Bn HQ as well as supporting artillery. and ending with the ubiquitous binos.

Really amazing seeing what you do with figures and a few little extra bits of kit that make it all look authentic… I also wish my figure building and painting was even a 1/20 of what you do and show … I think mine will forever be Frankenstein adaptations…

Thanks John,
Hey man just keep doin’ it. That’s all I did. Build figures over and over and over and eventually they have to get better. Like anything else. I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn. In the meantime we can just keep talking amounst ourselves here. Hahahahaha

Very nice work. I was just wondering, bases on the cuff patches, are these the Panzergrenadiers of the Brandenburg division ?

You hit the nail on the head there Jerry- that’s how I got into fig modelling- wanted to improve figs for putting them with AFV’s but just kept doing them! I feel like I learn something new pretty much every time I do a figure too.

As for the Commander figure- it is a real study in how to place a figure in particular role. Just by looking at the equipment you get the idea he’s in some sort of command position. Love the flare cartridges especially!

Poor runner
