After adding the graphite to the ‘jump scare action’ feature this became too radical. 
It smashed in to the top of the organ so violently that the top parts including the pipes exploded up and off about 8 inches! No pictures, sorry 
The parts that rapidly disassembled (exploded) were glued back together with epoxy. These were previously just CA glued together.
Then pieces of neoprene tape were cut and installed at contact points to dampen the striking action. See pictures below.

It works and also slightly dampens the plastic noise.
