F-16A MLU Viper, Kinetic 1:48

Inspired by photos of F-16’s of 323 Squadron Royal Netherlands Air Force on deployment to Eielson AFB Alaska for Red Flag 2011, I decided it was time to re-do my 1:48 Kinetic F-16. I build the kit years ago when it was first released, and back then I was still very new to the hobby. I just got into airbrushing and exclusively used the Revell enamels I bought from a local store. Needless to say, I wanted to have a better looking F-16 in my collection.

I repainted the entire kit with MRP 038,037 and 040. A vast improvement over the previous Revell paints. I replaced the horrible Kinetic nose with an aftermarket one from Kasl. I also included new wheels from Eduard and a pilot from Aerobonus. Decals came from ModelMaker decals, and from the spares box supplied by a fellow modeller. The result is a Dutch Viper I can be proud of!
