F-4B Sundowners

Tamiya 1/48 F-4B. VF-111, Sundowners 1972, NAS Miramar.

I haven’t built an F-4 since 1978. So this looked like a good start.

Unfortunately the canopy had some fogging after all was done. :frowning:

Hope you like it.

I’m sure you’ll get nothing but praise on this model Anthony @Delta21, that is one sharp looking bird and who doesn’t love the “Sundowner’s” markings! Nice clean build and something to aspire to. Love those Phantoms!

Thanks for all the kind words from you all.

The Bullseye decals are really nice but need to be careful not to touch them after each coat of decal set. Let them dry several hours between setting coats.

Gorgeous work! There is no better advertising for this kit than a well built model such as yours!

Thank you very much.

Sweet looking! Great job there! I’ve been doing armor for years now. I just started adding some birds to the stash. Maybe it’s time to switch gears? Thank you for the inspiration!

Thanks Gil. Lately I’ve been alternating between armor and planes.

Thx man!

Really nice job!

But as an aside, for other modelers, they upgraded to the Mk-H7 rocket seats in mid 1968…

Good to know. Are the seats in mine not correct?
