My finished Hellcat with the long waiting to be painted Eureka US Navy carrier deck.
I have used Tamiya XF-78 and XF-55 for the deck wooden base an Vallejo steel for the metal parts. Then AK Heavy chipping for the worn effects. For the dark blue deck color I used Gunze FS 15044 and Navy blue for highlights. FS 36622 for the white strips. Brushing nice amount of water and then with stiff brush I made the worn surface. I will spray flat varnish when everything is dry and add the ropes.
The deck looks a bit small, but the Hellcat is a big plane

I added the steel ropes also, painted easily with AK RC marker (I was struggling till now to nicely paint metal wires, but with those markers it is very easy, starting to love them

Looks great, the deck turned out nice, the weathering is fantastic.

Thanks!
The color is not exactly deck blue 20B, but it is close
. I think only Lifecolor has exact match-UA624, but I don’t have it at the moment.
Cheers!

Looks awesome Venelin.
Have you added some rust effects to the chain? I would think you would also have some fresh exposed metal as well with use.

I brushed some steel metal from Vallejo and light rust wash from AK over the metal parts, very subtle. Also darkening the frame with wood stain.
