The wingtip tanks on this plane have, accordign to Trumpeter, a kind of “hooks”. However, I don’t find them back on pictures of the real thing.
Does anybody know what the purpose of these things was, or is it artistic freedom?

According to Tommy Thomason.
“The hooks were actually handles attached to plugs inserted into the hole in the nose of the tank to keep it from leaking fuel if the one-way valve was not tight. (The hole pressurized the tank when its fuel was dumped in flight.)” They are not that big or intended for in flight.
HTH
conclusion, i will not add those hooks. Thanks for the info
