Knowing too much of the subject matter ruins many films.
Guns with infinite magazines, wrong tanks/trucks/artillery/ships/aircraft/handguns,
wrong clothes, hairdo, saluting, giving/taking orders, cheating/adapting historical facts.
Characters behaving too effing stupid (don’t open the door where the monster is locked in,
make sure that the enemy you just knocked out stays knocked out, don’t leave live enemies behind your back …)
If a film is based on a book one has already read …
This leaves me with action-comedy, all other films are ruined …

I thought “woke” meant to remain aware, and NOT to forget, or deny past history!

I turn OFF my two brain cells and go into my “special place” whenever I watch movies.

i actually like the film despite all of it’s issues, some very memorable lines…“Spring chicken to shite hawk in one easy lesson”.

I enjoy the movie also, I remember seeing it at the theater back in the seventies and as a youngster I thought it was the most marvelous and magnificent WWII movie ever, beautiful green and tan Hurricanes and Spitfires in full blown CinemaScope and living color.
