Thanks for the reply, wow you weren’t screwing around were you?! So with extras/materials you’re into this for around a grand, although the finished model will probably be worth up to two to somebody. Not, I’d imagine, that you’d ever sell it. Cudos to your wife, maybe she could advise mine sometime? Besides, you’d never want to come out of the closet with it later…
I wonder who that compatriot ebay seller was…I’m thinking of staging a heist of whatever he’s got left

barkingdigger-The Renwal Visible Chassis model was a poor seller and only available for about 10 years so it is not that surprising you have never heard of it.
Dioramartion-Yes, I was very serious about this project. The total cost for both models and materials to build (i.e., paints, wiring, wood base, etc.) was about $1,050.00 (US). No, I do not have any plans to sell it. Yes, my wife held my feet to the fire to make sure I did not purchase another “collectable”!

Mine would’ve been measuring the box to see if my corpse would fit in it…

barkingdigger-I hear ya! If my wife had not agreed, then it would not have been purchased.

Same as mine would do. But after mounting my head on the wall and a run of the rest through the woodchipper of destiny she’d have to spread most of me in the garden

I have a 1\35 Dora that my wife knows I’m never going to build - my body does fit in the box that it comes in! Should I be worried?

no, as I recall you have more than paid for the purchase many times over. Now if you get a second kit, you should get a shovel with her card. The prosecutor can claim pre-meditation.

Hell yeah I’d worry but it’ll be about the kit not me..
