The original A1s have been sent to the US for upgrade to A2 standard, this is the delivery of the first upgraded ones.

Nice. Now we need a model company to come out w/the A2, or for somebody to scratch/convert one.

The cab looks not too complex for me. At least there are no more louvers in front of the windows. Hmmmm… tracks could be a problem.

Gino, is this the new standard MLRS? What makes the A2 version besides the new cab and tracks?

It is the new standard that the US Army (and other nations) are fielding. The US Army started fielding them at the end of '24.

For changes, externally, it has the new cab, T-161 tracks, larger tow points, steps for the crew, and a few other changes. Internally it has new engine and drive train components, updated computer fire control, new radios, etc…

It looks like the UK version has a bunch more marker lights than the US version.

Apparently the UK M270A2 will be fitted with Soucy composite reinforced track (CRT) aka “band track” after delivery.
