These flying stems are so thick, they just don’t look good. Anyone have a better option?

Small metal rods. Some will add cotton as exhaust to hide the rod.
Only other option I can think of is to add some walls with a landscape scenery and have a small short rod coming out of the wall to support the model “hanging in the air”.
I did the short rod thing with the diving man, but the metal with the cotton sounds brilliant. Thanks!
