Saw him do this but it was Rockwell by that time IIRC .
He did a Mustang show as well .
A surprisingly agile bird. He must have supreme confidence in his engines to fly so low with power off.

My fav Bob Hoover story was during his airshow tours, Hoover would secretly sign up under another name with the local flight school. After some lessons with the instructor, the young kid would sign off Bob Hoover for a solo flight. Bob Hoover would then barrel roll a Cessna on solo take off while the shocked instructor watched from the ground! LOL
