Where did this take place ?
The Dr 1’s look a little twitchy compared to the D VII .
Must be exhausting to fly , especially in a tight group.

Like all good fighters, the Dr.1 was inherently unstable in flight by all accounts. Made it very agile in a dog-fight. But as you say, a bit tiring to fly under normal conditions…

Probably shot with a long telephoto lens which tends to bunch up subjects visually.
