Folded uniforms?

I have this idea for a diorama i want to eventually build. I was thinking of doing two different railway lines. On one line would be a Tiger I painted grey and a boxcar. In front of the box car would be the crews loading into the car while being issued winter gear.
On the opposite rail line I’d like to do the same, except the crew is being loaded onto a passenger car and is grabbing desert uniforms to wear.
It would be a symbolic telling of the two tank battalions. One to the desert and one to the eastern front. I think it would be fun to try and build the uniforms in folded piles but I’m not sure how i could go about this or if i could buy them somewhere.

I’ve had a similar idea for some shirt-sleeves soldiers at a flak gun.

There are some resin clothes sets with hanging and folded jackets.

@Chepster I’ve seen a few of them on eBay. I have a feeling it won’t be exactly what i want. I may also modify it by making them into parcel like packages and do Arika korps boots on top of the parcels.

I have one of the sets and they look good but not neatly folded

@Chepster is it one of the verlinden sets?

I can’t recall to be honest. I got it years ago and when it arrived decanted it from it’s packing into my parts compartments box.

@Chepster that’s unfortunate

This is a different option. Except for the bra. LOL

@amoz02t that’s not a bad idea, maybe something like that in a boxcar that guys are drying gear in prior to rolling along.

I know we shouldn’t encourage pirating of manufacturers’ kits but this eBay seller appears to be selling re-casts of the Verlinden set. It’s morally wrong but with Verlinden having ceased trading, it’s not impacting on them as a business.

Great if you’re doing a MASH set with Klinger, and that would include the bra :joy:

@Chepster that’s kind of what I’m looking for, thanks for the share. Unfortunately they don’t ship to the U.S.

@bwilt maybe in the future I’ll get an itch to do that .

Greg,

Try Red Zebra - some stuff below; it may give you some ideas even if not fitting exactly what you have in mind. You might, for instance, wish to copy some of his stuff and use it as a guide while you labour away with Magic Sculp or similar. Just a thought.
