Definitely following this with interest. Scratch-building is a scary thing for me, trying to get a straight-cornered rectangle out of a plastic board (or two identical pieces for that matter) seems mission impossible for me.

to mede two identical part you can glue the parts togheter with a little drop of istantaneat glue
and use files to give same shape.
if you want good straight-cornered yuo simply cut every part at 45° and glue it


Turret bolts added, and running board is made by M13 mudguards
