There was a video on YouTube some time ago with either a Ford or Junkers trimotor at an air show - the pilot tried to take off with the gust lock still on the rudder . I believe there were fatalities.

What goes up must come down.

We lost an entire B-17 to an inflight fire in the past 18 months and there were fatalities there as well.
