I think for SB and others I have used, they only have set box sizes for the calculations and not as many as say Amazon. They are always going the next size up which impacts the shipping cost.

The VAT is the percentage for Sweden so I can’t blame any other country for that.
Other countries have made a deal with Sweden to collect the Swedish VAT (25%)
Based only on the numbers the shipping from the US is almost twice the shipping from Canada.
BUT, if i use todays CAD-USD rates the shipping from Canada is USD 11.41 (and some decimals).
This means that the shipping from the US of A is nearly 3 times as expensive (3 x 11.41 is approximately USD 34.24)
