French air force crane / wrecker Willeme CG

Hi all

here is something a bit unusual. The Willeme truck was designed for the French air force to clear the runway after a crash landing.

I had the opportunity to take pictures of what is thought to be the last remaining vehicle in France. It is not in good condition as it sits outside all year long but it could be worse. I posted a walkaround to my site: Modern military modeling

As the walkaround includes nearly 600 pictures, it is only available as a zip file to download.

After they were phased out in the Air Force, several were put in civilian use

I guess the one below is the same as the one just above…
