Wrapped this kit up today:
All in all, a decent kit. Assembly was straight forward with minimal issues (except those darn mirrors). Color is Scale Finishes McLaren Orange (sometimes called Papaya Orange) graciously painted for me by a modeler on another forum with an airbrush. It’s essentially box-stock, with some added details to the interior. Not a lot of sponsor decals with this kit, which is a little odd for a GT car. The car is supposed to represent the car that raced in the 2011 3 Hours of Magny-Cours in the GT Pro-Am class. There isn’t even a label for that. Oh well! Here it is. Enjoy.
I did notice that the flags for the drivers’ names were reversed on the passenger side, so I corrected that. And a little carbon fiber on the engine.
I did break the rear tow ring, so I had to replace it with a 4mm brass ring. Looks ok.
As for the interior, I did 3D print a new Recaro racing seat that I downloaded from Cults3D. Didn’t come out too bad, I think. I also added some Scale Motor Sports Carbon Fiber decals to the steering wheel & center console, and I added a Sabelt 6 Point racing harness from HGW Models. First time doing anything like this. Came out alright.
