Fun with the Atlantis Vintage Gas Truck

Mike, Looking forward to your project. Can hardly wait to see what you do with it.

As to wheel track i was already counting on using the dual rear suspension off a 1/35th Deuce and a half.

Now looking at how the tank might be widened.

Ever since I bought the first Atlantis tanker I’ve been looking for a 1:1 example. I’ve searched back roads in Texas, Oklahoma. Colorado, New Mexico, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. Plus whichever states I can’t think of at the moment when we drove to the Nationals in Nebraska last year.
Every time I drive to a place I’ve been before I try to take a different route. Finally today on the way home from Branson, MO I found this one near Pryor, OK. I really hope the guy wants to sell it. My wife does not.

Now I know what the top looks like as well:

Within my price range. The challenge is getting it running or having it shipped to someone who can.

That is really cool.

I took these today for a friend who lives in Arizona. He’s into COE’s and other interesting trucks. He owns two Unimogs among other things.
