FYI: ETSY's 1/35 3-D Printed Civilian Figures by a Hong Kong Vendor and Other ETSY Figures Examples

I normally don’t promote ETSY vendors because there are so many (so not really NEWS), but this seller in Hong Kong seems to have some very unique 3-D printed 1/35 civilian figures that you won’t find in the local or online hobby shops. I am posting this because I find her 1/35 figures to be very unique, very realistic, and perhaps the best detailed of all the 1/35 3-D printed civilian figures I found so far in looking at ETSY.

Some of these 3-D printed figures you may find from other ETSY sellers in a larger scale, but so far this Hong Kong seller is the only ETSY seller that I’ve found that has a compilation of 1/35 civilian figures with the same realism and complimentary poses.

NOTE: I did not order from her before. This is just an FYI. I did email her and she cannot print anything larger than 1/35 scale, so no 1/24, 1/20, or 1/16 scale figures.

Here are some examples of her products.

Some very interesting figures, there. I wonder what the overall print quality is. It looks pretty good in the photos, but you can never quite tell until you have the prints in hand.

She seems to like her women curvy.

And I can’t say I’ve seen a lot of these poses anywhere else.

No sci-fi, or fantasy figs? No noodies?
Hmmm…I’ve seen some of these figures in some Aliexpress shops!

Not from this Hong Kong seller, but ETSY has a lot of Sci-Fi and Fantasy figures in various scales, including wargaming miniatures.

ETSY’s sellers’ printers are so high resolution that you won’t see any print lines on the majority of figure kits. Many sellers state if they print in 8K or 12K resolution, or you can contact them about print resolution.

Here is another seller for 1/35 modern figures.

Note: I didn’t buy from this ETSY seller either. Some figures may be a little “wargamish” in scale so you have to decide on if the figures look realistic enough to you.

Wow, if Etsy’s printing quality is that good, there are no striations, these could be fantastic. The escape punk girl, the series above her and right below her, I can see a lot of uses for them. Gotta tell Kosprueone about the skate girl!

Bear in mind that these are CAD illustrations and not photo’s of the product. But I have bought similar figures on Aliexpress and they are excellent! However, the printing material tends to be hard and very brittle, and is not hobby-friendly to cutting, drilling, etc.
Also, Etsy doesn’t print figures. Like ebay, Etsy’s vendors print and sell their own products. Quality definitely varies from vendor to vendor.

This series of figures (gangsters, or “Untouchables”) :

among others, are also available on Aliexpress vendors, at a lower price.
Looks like others are using the same STL file.

All the above are pretty much available on eBay from Hong Kong sellers as well, and they are very cheap.

Yes, you’re all correct in that the same STL images are used by various sellers to sell the same figure design in various scales. Other websites and sellers sell these same figures, but you have to search for them.

Printing resolution depends on the seller’s printers.

Here is my ETSY 250mm Sci-Fi figure. There are no visible print lines and it’s all smooth.

How smooth? I painted it in a “blue candy sheen” for the basecoat.

Here is an ETSY seller for “Call of Duty’s Captain Price” printed in 12K and 1/10 scale.

The good thing about ETSY sellers is that they often cut off the 3D printing sprues before they ship the figure to you. Other website sellers might not do that.

Nice find, Pete. Thans for sharing,

Thanks, Rob @18bravo.

There is “Call of Duty’s Ghost” too by the same ETSY seller in 12K, 1/10 scale.

Other ETSY sellers have this same figure, but not many print in 12K and the ETSY sellers are scattered throughout the world. This ETSY seller is in Texas, USA.

Remember, you can get this figure in different scales, even 1/24, if you find the proper seller. Many sellers will custom-scale the figure for you, so if you want it in 1/35 scale, all you have to do is ask for 1/35 scale and the price.

The boots should be separate from the base if you want to create your own base. However, do double-check with the ETSY seller if you want the figure separate from the base.

I like ETSY because it requires little cleanup (3D printed sprues already cut off before shipping) and the parts fit, meaning all one has to do is wash, prime, and paint.

Same 12K ETSY seller in Texas shows how smooth 12K 3-D printing can be in this DOOM soldier bust. As you can see, the printing sprues have been removed.

Different ETSY seller, this one in Turkey, is selling 1/9 (17cm) “Call of Duty’s SOAP” in 12K resolution. This same STL file is also being sold by other ETSY sellers in various scales and prices.

I changed the post title to reflect these other ETSY sellers.
