I had no idea there were Pak 40’s in Stalingrad. I thought the 5cm pak 38 was the best they had until Spring of '43.

I’m curious how many Pak 40’s were around in 1942?

I’m building the ancient Tamiya kit that my son got me for Xmas and was wondering: do the trails have weld lines along their length? And if so can I leave the lines there that are on the Tamiya parts? Or should they be sanded smooth? I seem to remember they had weld lines. I have some pics of one I took back in the 80s when I worked at a tank museum out in Mattituck on Eastern Long Island as a teenager and can’t find them at the moment.
