Excellent news to start the day! But does anyone know why it still has the auxiliary generator fitted? Was this typical? I had assumed they’d remove it to make extra room…
I hope its 100% new tooling.

Perhaps it was fitted to the example they measured?
What did it power?
Would it have still been necessary?
I know with the M1 Abrams, an aux PSU was added to charge batteries & Radio.
What benefit would be had by removing it, could more personnel be fitted in the space?
Enquiring minds need to know!

I think I have the old Formations models conversion
I’m sure it was kept as it was to keep the batteries topped off, so that along seems to be a good reason to keep it.
