We posted an announcement to this kit back in August. The company now shares images of a built test model.

All well and good I feel, though the trailer is a US one and I’m not sure whether or not such a type was ever used by the Brits. The trailer load is a bit suspicious - soldiers don’t normally get separated from their weapons(!). Perhaps a job lot from Gecko just to fill it all out?

Personally, I hate the inclusion of an engine; it seems to me that when a manufacturer does that you end up having to build the model like the real thing, ever last strut, cross member and nut and bolt is included, yet how many models on the display tables does one ever see with the bonnet up?

But that’s just me; most I’m sure will welcome Gecko’s attention to detail. I do hope a canopy is included, otherwise to me it’s pretty much useless. Some figures would be nice even if limited to the Korean War which this kit is geared to.

But ignore my carping; a kit of this vehicle, overall, is welcome. Gecko’s builds are I believe, quite complex (I haven’t tackled one yet). Models of soft-skins from the 50s are quite rare so well done them.

I’d forgotten that particular psychosis!

Got to agree it’s unlikely the rifles and Sten would be in the trailer! Shame there don’t seem to be any figures with it.

I’m definitely no Land Rover expert but curious about the radius of the front fenders, they seem too . . . large? some one set me straight  :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

a nice little truck. Does it mean that Gecko Models got a new focus? British fighting vehicles of the post war era?
I hope Gecko Models will offer a version with tarp too. Perhaps with the british Brockhouse trailer.
Nice would be to see a companion for the Landy. Let’s say a Thornycroft Antar Mk-3A with Dyson 50ton trailer.
