Generic wehrmacht/ss license plate decals?

It seems there are a lot of options from Peddinghaus. I’ve used them before and find them a little thick. Eliminating them, does anyone else make generic license plate decals in 1/35?

The Dragon Sdkfz251 half tracks all contain sets of generic plates to make Heer and Waffen SS numbers. I wouldn’t suggest buying the kits just to get the transfers, but if you asked nicely on Armorama someone may have some they don’t want any more, depending on where you are.

First issue Dragon 234/x armored cars also have a decal sheet for making German license plates. Newer issues may have the same sheet.

Thanks. I have the DML Pak 38 on Zugkraftwagen kit and it has a similar sheet as well.

I would look for a secondary distributor. Archer closed a while back. There is rumors of return but I cannot confirm.

I will give an up-to-date report next week. I placed an order and got an email today with a tracking number on the package. If it arrives, I will report back!

Arrived! Packaging looks great. I’ll try to post a pic. Package says they are printed by cartograf. I will use a couple presently and report on that also.

Cartograf are good, you should have no problem with them.

Once the raw materials were not be made any more Archer switched to Cartograf. They are a well known aircraft decal manufacturer and should work well. Only drawback is they are not as detailed as the dry transfers.

Cartograf is an excellent decal company with an outstanding product. I have used Cartograf decals many times and they are nice and thin, but handle well, and respond perfectly to Micro Set and Micro Sol. You are going to like them.
