German Gas welder

Hi all,
What should be the right color for the 2 gas bottles (acetylen and oxygen) used for the welder please?
Thanks for your help

Nowadays, Oxygen bottles are blue and Acetylene green. Can´t about tell WW2 but probably the same.

According to the manufacturer, this 1/6th scale set has been “properly researched”…

But the Miniart guys appear to differ…

Salut Frenchy,
Je préférai l’ancienne version !

If I cross all I found yes definitly Oxygen is blue.
In fact tanks could be maroon overall with only a coloured stripe on top.
Yellow seems to be the correct colour for Acetylene.

By the way, this Mininiart kit is the one I’m building on

Just want to say thanks for the great pictures and great information. Putting together a Werkstat company, have a lot of repair tools including gas bottles, and this will make it much better.
