Pardon the lengthy delay, but this GI’s turned out perfect. Specifically his eyes and facial finish. Quite believable Jerry.

Hey thanks Dave for the lovely comment.
Here we go. An officer from the Bn S2 of a Regt from the 29th Inf Division gives an initial check of German para POWs. He checks the soldbuch,etc. POWs can keep the helmets until they are out of the combat zone.

Which view do you like the best ?

SEARCH - Weapons, Documents Maps/Intel

SILENCE - Prevent from being discovered by the enemy

SEGREGATE - Officers/Enlisted, Military/Civilian

SPEED - Remove from battle space into rear area

SAFEGUARD - Above all else, protect and ensure medical attention when needed, provide food/water (in accordance with ICRC protections for POWs and Civilian Refugees.

I know Many of us know and understand this.

Excellent work as always JR !!

The weary, dejected faces of the Germans work beautifully with the poses. I like the way you have staged it too, in particular the bundle of gear and personal items on the ground.

Yep, that’s great modelling; a snap shot in time using all elements to convey the emotion of the moment thereby bringing the viewer into the scene. Or in other words; bloody excellent Jerry!

Top middle, if only to see all figures together so I’d like to see it full size. By the way it’s superb in every respect - one of the best settings/scenery I’ve ever seen.

No.5, then No.2. But they’re all a treat to study.

Very nicely done, Sir. The scene is perfect!

@Dan-yessir
@Sable-yep the 5 "s’'s but the silence part means do not let the POWs talk to each other. You do not want them planning anything.
@DAK-thanks for your input man
@Cheyenne-thanks ol buddy.
@Karl-thanks as always for your excellent comment.
@Sam-thanks Sam for the outstanding words of encouragement.
@Diomartin-high praise indeed coming from yourself sir. Yeah that pic pretty much does show the whole scene.. Thanks for the input matey.
@Strongarden-thank you sir. Very kind words. Thanks for the input. It helps me see which kind of views people enjoy the best. So I can improve hopefully.
@ Gemerim-thanks buddy for the nice comment.

The Para helmets are old Warriers offerings that I was lucky to find in my parts box. I forgot I had them. I just added straps. The Bonesack laying on the ground was made from putty as were the jackets and smocks on all the Paras. The personal effects are just typing paper.
The new thing I tried here was making the trousers very baggy and having them stick out at the waist. Those pants are only held on by the suspenders! I have seen many pics of this during the war. Also new was modeling the 29th Inf Division with the emblems on the helmets.
Anyway…just in case anyone wondered. Heheheheh
