Hi guys.Bought this one a year or so ago as a flashback to my teens when it first appeared in the 1980s.I seem to remember having it in the old boxing with a Bundeswehr Gelboliv one emblazoned on box lid.I recall it being in a pukey green a bit like some of the Italeri Leopard 1s i have in my hoarders stash.I think what fired my imagination was getting Francois Verlindens Showcase series and seeing his version bedecked in nets and in a diorama where the tank is on a range with stacks of ammo boxes around and a Bundeswehr guy watching the big cat fire.Anyway this kit now contains many nations markings Spain,Turkey,Poland,Swiss,Bundeswehr.Im sure these nations versions arent whats in this old kit needing additions im pretty certain.The plastic is a icky brown colour and yes its not up to todays standards but im just putting her together as i would have done years ago.The sideskirts have parts of the rear hull side lockers in which isnt ideal as things dont line up great.I gently tried cutting these pieces off with a fine CMK razor saw blade but still managed to go off on a tangent and fudged a few bits.Nothing a bit of filler and plastic strip can hide a multitude of sins.The upper hull is very flexy when gluing to lower hull so i run a few shims of plastic under turret opening and along the upper hull to let the lower hull sit on a more stable gluing area.Im not sure if the kit is accurate as a 2A4 as i feel it has a mixture of features like the uparmoured sideskirts.
Anyway enough waffle.
