Grey Fox Concepts announces US Mermite Food Container at 1/35 and 1/16
Not bad price - $22 AUD (~15 USD) for a set of 8:
Just what you need for modeling the First Sergeant’s jeep or HMMWV on the daily chow run, along with some water cans, coffee dispenser, and ration cases…
That would make a perfect vignette.
I can vividly remember the chow runs I did as a Supply Clerk in my early Army days. Using an M35A2 to make my way around the training areas of Ft. Stewart, GA. in the early 90s.
AFV Club’s M54A2 “Eve of Destruction” guntruck has two very nice mermite containers with open tops and inner sleeves as well.
Nice. Very nice.
That’s a beautiful jeep and trailer Carlos, looks exactly like a 1SG’s ride.
Thanks! I based it off my old First Sergeant’s “yeep”, as he called it. He was very Tex-Mex from San Antonio if I remember right…
That’s incredible! When I was part of the E4 Mafia I had a Hispanic First Sergeant and I was his driver. He used to say “Yump in the yeep and don’t forget your BB gun!”.
