FIRST: NOTE TO ADMIN: What is this “Your topic is similar to…” BS?? It is a royal PITA having to clear that damn thing every couple words. Yeah, is “similar” …. it has words like the other topics. Now, back to our regularly scheduled topic …… Latvia sold(?) / donated (?) 11 Bristol Bulldog Mk.IIs to Basque nationalists and became part of the Republican Air Force. What paint scheme did they have? I’ve seen color plates of them in NMF/aluminum dope (stock Bristol/ Latvian scheme) with Republican markings. Or … sand/olive/brown over blue (Italian looking camo). Or … dark green metal forward section with rear section aluminum dope. I have not seen any actual photos. Also, any markings showing their Basque connection?

Osprey published a book about the Spanish Civil War several years ago.

It has a color profile of a camouflage bulldog, and I recall a couple black and white photos of them.
