Harriet Tubman

Excellent tips, Thank you. Funny you mention the dress. My friend is a Victorian era wardrobe historian. She says her dress is not period and that it is much later like 1930s - 1940s +/-. This is true because of the kit I got it from. So, the tall grass will hide her dress
And @MoramarthT spotted the inaccurate rifle so the new one from the ICM Civil War set is currently being painted as well.

I learned a lot of detailed information here building this figure :star_struck:

Ok, I think, Harriet Tubman, is finally done. Tall grass hiding the inaccurate wardrobe (skirt/dress) and the new rifle that she most likely was holding in all of the historical art work has been painted.

Thanks for looking

Thanks Mike. I notice that I forgot to paint in some clear flat around the base of the grass bundles

and her gait is hardly a point of contention now.

Nice work! I have been getting some of the Masterbox figures to hopefully do a mountain man scene as I do the reenactments for this time period. The main problem is their sets mix up figures from different times and you have to try and mix and match to find the right weapons and outfits to go together. But they at least try to do them. Anyway, a very nice little scene. Wayne

Never heard of her before. Had to google her and read her life story. Brave woman back in those dark years of slavery.

Thank you.

Yes, the grass hides the inaccuracy of the lower half of her wardrobe as well.

Thank you.

Masterbox makes a lot of interesting sets. Mixing and matching parts are compatible. I wonder if they had this in mind from the beginning.

After further research I realize that I’ve made a more or less Civil War version of Mrs.Tubman. Most of the time during her Underground Railroad rescues she most likely carried a revolver instead of the long rifle.
