Happened to come across this picture and I had never seen one of these medals before. Pretty cool I thought.
I briefly worked for Monogram Models, well contract worked, I never saw that before. It would be nice to ask Shep Paine, maybe he would have known

It seems they did a number of them.
This one seems more credible. I’ve been to model contests a time or two. Most of us don’t look like conquering heros.

I knew that, I was speaking rhetorically. Possibly I used the wrong wording.
