Hasegawa 1:24 BMC Mini

Hello everybody!

On request from my daughter I have built this classic BMC Mini. It’s worth reminding, that it is a revolutionary design that was created in the 1950s, introduced the transverse mounted engine driving the front wheels and was in production for 40 years (1959-2000).

The kit by Hasegawa builds very pleasantly, fit is very good, the front wheels can be built poseable and the kit also has window masks and special highly reflective silver stickers letting you build very realistic looking mirrors.

The end effect looks like this:

Thanks for looking and have a nice day!

Outstanding model. I always wanted one of these IRL.

Beautiful finish- the metallic green really suits the white roof! Wonderful detail work on the wheels, lights and metal areas.

Hello everybody!

Thanks a lot for your comments and for your kind words.

@Fanchmodel, @flatfour - thanks a lot!

@SSGToms - yeah, it’s a real classic now!

@Karl187 - I let my daughter pick the exact colour here. Many of the things you mention is just taking advantage of the kit quality in this case - like when you take a kit headlight glass, glue it with white glue on the kit chrome part (the reflector) and you end up with exellent looking headlight without even having to touch any paint.

Thanks again nad have a nice day!

@18bravo - I didn’t have the opportunity to drive the real thing but the fact that it was so successful in racing tells you something!

Thanks again and have a nice day!
