Has anybody seen this kit up close? I’m very interested, but would like to hear opinions on it before I buy.

Whats the problem with the Asuka kit?

Apparently, Asuka wrongly made rear hull at 90 degrees while it should be at 10 degrees. This minor mistake makes rear hull edge 3,7mm shorter that it should be.

Last April I built that Asuka kit and stubbornly didn’t fix the problem even though I had already learned about it. I kind of regret it now because it’s a really easy fix and just requires a tiny shim. I think it’s possible to correct the angle without even detaching the top edge by simply relief cutting from inside and then fixing it to the correct angle and then filling the sides properly. I’ll probably end up correcting it on the one I built because it’s an awesome kit otherwise.
As for the resin replacement, I don’t like doing plastic modeling with resin. I’d rather make the mod myself…that’s just my personal preference…
