So, when does the 1/35th Scale Kit come out?

If it reaches more than the concept stage it’ll get to Ft. Will eventually. And I’ll be there to see it.

Interesting. This photo was in the article. I used to build models very similar to these for displays almost thirty years ago.

Mine, for Lockheed Martin Missile:

Is the “big un” ATACMS?

Two Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM) can fit inside a 6-rocket MLRS/HIMARS pod, meaning that this HEMTT can carry eight PrSMs whereas HIMARS can carry two and MLRS carries four. The Precision Strike Missile is replacing the ATACMS where only one ATACMS can fit inside a six-shot rocket pod (one ATACMS per HIMARS), or two ATACMS inside a MLRS launcher.

The PrSM can target moving land targets and warships, so having eight PrSM in this HEMTT truck adds to the Land-Based Anti-ship Missile (LBASM) weapons program and adds more missiles to saturate a warship’s defenses. PrSM has a range of 248+ miles (400+ KM). This gives the US Army and US Marines a potent anti-ship missile that can be carried and launched from a truck to cause anti-access, area denial, especially on the remote Pacific islands. Plans are being formulated to increase the PrSM’s range even further with Block upgrade variants.

With a smaller diameter than the ATACMS missile, two PrSMs can fit inside a HIMARS pod, or four PrSMs for a tracked M270 MLRS. Only the PrSM can strike moving land and maritime targets. (Photo: U.S. Army LRPF )
