HKCW cvrw fox

We now have some colour on,it was a toss up with green and black or urban camo but TBH the masking up etc was the killer on urban😀

Detailing next.

Every true model builder needs to do at least one vehicle in urban camo,
almost like a coming of age rite.
Once it is done and over with the rest will be smooth sailing …

To reach the next level, you do a tank in Caunter scheme.

I have the late version kit which in the Tankograd book on the Berlin Brigade was in G/B while the early version could have been in urban! And there my lords the defence rests😂

Nice job though Frank👍

Accurate Armour Strv 103 that I built almost 25 years ago. I sprayed the light green but hand-painted everything else because no way was I going to try masking on a tank like this  I did use a pencil and a ruler to draw the lines first, though.

Nice work Mate; ‘always liked the look of the Fox. I also found the Vixen very interesting, and was sorry to see it cancelled (though I understand it needed refining a fair bit ergonomically).

Same, ever since seeing some pictures of it in one of the old Arms & Armour photo books. I’ve been thinking of what to build the Accurate Armour one as. 1991 Gulf War? BAOR? Dutch Army?

Great minds think alike! I think I’ve still the same magazine, showing the Vixen on trials, resplendent in gloss Bronze Green. I remember seeing one at Tidworth briefly during a visit (I was at Div HQ and at Tidworth one of our Brigades resided, so I assume the vehicle I saw was on trial at unit level there).

I too, had thought of Gulf War, (and such a version would look great!) but then BATUS occurred to me, but I came down on the side of a black and green finish for a BAOR vehicle, with, possibly, a What-If Brit Leopard 1A3. And of course, Jakko, to my febrile imagination, a Dutch version alongside a Kpz 70, would look just fine!

Then all I’d have to do is also build a KPz 70 (NL) … easy!

Exactly! I mean, what are we talking about? (for a Kpz 70 (NL)) Smoke dischargers and a probable different antennae fit. I can’t think of much else. Crew figures (long-haired?) would help; markings would be key.

What are you waiting for - says he with a zillion backed-up projects(!) I must admit, a NL Vixen would be very interesting.
