Great build Tim,
Congratulations on commissioning. I am still slightly getting my heat round her being 1/700th.
Cheers

Thanks Si!
Yes, 1/700 is pretty small - probably too small for my taste for full-hull presentation. Still, Flyhawk has produced such an awesome kit that I just couldnāt resist using that lower hull!
Anyway, with the addition of her nameplate, HMS Campbeltown is now complete!
Phenomenal work Tim. Glad sheās being displayed in all her glory!
Great job o the Campbeltown. Very well done.
Jim
What a great presentation Tim!
Has been a joy to watch you build this one!
Fantastic work! Congratulations on another fine addition to your fleet!
Awesome!
Can we have a pic of her next to a more standard, grey ship? I know itās pink. I can see itās pink. Itās just kinda difficult to see how pink. For example, in that last pic, if I didnāt know it was pink Iād just assume grey and that the lightingās a bit weird. Brain says Grey.
Tim,
Another fine completion and presentation. 1/700 is quite the challenge, but you met and conquered the challenge.
Mark
Another awesome job Tim.
My hobby space has been taken over by furniture and boxes from a home remodeling project to make my home handicap accessible. So all Iāve been able to do over the last several months is watch everyoneās progress, take notes and try to learn something. Youāre the professor and Iām the plebe. Carry on my friend.

Don, Jim, Russ, Craig, Mark, and John - thank you for your kind words!
Despite my failure to stick to my out-of-the-box vision for this project, it has been fun!

Craig,
I know what you mean about the Mountbatten Pink color. It is pink (a sort of grayish mauve, actually) but in pics it often registers as gray. Still, the difference between it and USN Haze Gray is striking:
Compared to Haze Gray it is also rather dark - I imagine quite suitable for a night operation. Here it is next to a Haze Gray battleship:
I still find that pinkish color strange!
Perfect! Thanks for that.
Really great work. Thatās a sharp little build!
Tim,
just awesome! Congratulations to commissioning your fine HMS Campbeltown, and even if I only very seldom commented your build, it was great and fun to follow your build log! Fantastic work, and you always managed to do it OOB - actually, for your usual standards, Iād say it counts as OOB And I do like the Mountbatten Pink, gives her a very special appearance!
Thank you for sharing another fine build with us!
Cheers
Jan
As all have noted , another beautiful effort Tim .
I always enjoy your posts and subjects - thanks for sharing.
( next line uttered in a plaintive , pleading voice ā¦)
Now back to the Hatsuzuki ??
Cheers- Richard
Martin, Jan, and Richard - thanks!
Richard, Iāve just embarked on a 1/48 scale airplane build (HERESY, I know), so it appears Iāll be distracted from Hatsuzuki for just a bit longerā¦
Yep - already saw it and responded - looks like a fun change for you .
I think it was all the dang detailing he was doing on the turrets. Then realized oh darn I now to have to do this to the rest of the ship. Canāt have nicely detailed turrets without making the rest of the ship look the same. Oh the conundrum.
Cheers
