Hello, I was thinking about how to achieve the dry mud with a part of it still wet. I would massively appreciate anybody helping.

AK Interactive has multiple products to help you replicate that mud; on tracks and on vehicle underside.

Paint it with a light dirt colour first, to represent the dried mud, and then inside of that with a darker dirt colour for the wet mud.

I’d use a buff paint for the dry stuff, and flat earth for the wet stuff - both applied with the old “hairy stick” to get hard edges. Splatter can be added by flicking paint from the brush.

And a drop of gloss medium in with the darker earth color if you want it to be still wet enough to be shiny, although a satin finish is more likely to be accurate.

You can flick the paint off an old toothbrush to achieve the spatter effect.
