How timely. I just received this kit yesterday. It looks great. Detail is awesome. The tires are solid rubber and have no visible seam line on them. Tread pattern looks great as well. I am very impressed. I am looking forward to what other HMMWVs they come out with.
Thank you for taking the time to comment Gino
Good to hear about the seamless tires. When it comes to rubber or vinyl tires, I’ve rarely had good luck with them, outside of slathering mud across the tread. Or, ponying up more $$ for DEF products as replacements.
Gecko has proved that you can mold one piece styrene tires with detail all the way around and no seam lines. Why haven’t other companies followed suit? Why are we still suffering with the rubber tire gimmick?
Financial issues?
Who knows why ICM chose to do it this way. I don’t have a problem with them, especially these, which look really good.
