Picked up this picture at a couple of weekends ago. I am guessing they are A-10a’s due to the camo scheme, any help in identifying type, year and unit would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, they are A10s in early Euro 1 camo. By the tail code DM, they are from Davis-Monthan AFB, NM.
Fixed the pic too.

Many thanks for fixing the photo and confirming that they were based at Davis-Mathison, any idea on which squadron? And are the the A version as I thought?

Judging by the multi color tail bands, those might be wing command element aircraft. Traditionally USAF squadrons use a single color or single color with stripes or checkers to differentiate between them within a wing. There are a handful of exceptions to this tradition. Wing Command aircraft will usually incorporate all colors of subordinate squadrons into the tail stripe markings.

Many thanks for the reply and extra information, it slowly builds on my knowledge, as now I am wanting to go all the way to knowing who, how, where, which version etc, so I could possibly build one to match it.
