Fabric elements like doors, roof and back of the cab should have folds on them but they are flat .

Take a Dremel and make the “wrinkles” yourself?

The canvas doors and top are actually pretty tight on HMMWVs and don’t have many wrinkles. If you look closely at the CAD, they are there and look about right to me.

Ok, I see them a little with an enlargement of the pictures.

They are very subtle in comparison with old italeri/academy humvees who replicate more pronounced folds on fabric elements.

It all depends. If Private Snuffy gets out and leans has heavy azz on the door it bends the frame over time, The more it bends, the worse the wrinkles get. You can see where the rear of this door is alreay out of whack:

Those are M998 soft doors.

The M1097 seems to have tighter doors.

The doors are the same on both models. It really depends on how new the doors are. As Rob shows above, with use, they will get out of shape and show more ripples and sags. The tops stay pretty tight though, however, when they get worn and old, they too get looser and show more ripples and sag as well.

I an waiting to see what other versions they come out with. I just built this one for my M998 O/C HMMWV build. It is a really nice kit.
