Infantry tank, A11 Matilda MkIV. Another 3D printing adventure

Have you considered selling just the .STL file? You could sell it for a flat fee, still make money off it, and then you wouldn’t have to worry about your printer being occupied. Just a thought. The tank is looking great!

I’d be in for the 1/72 for sure. Shipping sucks, but shipping sucks everywhere. The 1/35 would be awesome but it’s probably out of my budget for the foreseeable future.

Would 1/48th be a sweet spot in cost and time? Or would it just take too much to redesign around another scale? 1/48th never really appealed to me but I built a Matilda and surprised myself with how much I enjoyed it.

Keep up the fantastic work!

Time to get this wee Gal finished.

I’m pretty happy with the way the Prints are coming out. The tracks are proving a little problematic to remove from the support, but otherwise all good. Next trick is to paint a couple up for box-art.

Here’s a pic before primer:

…and a couple after.

That’s the 1/72 version. 1/35 undergoing final print test.

Now lets get some green on.

Wow. Some of that fine work, like the grills and grab handles are amazing.

coming along.

I feel I need to beef the tracks a tiny bit to stop them being so fragile, but otherwise kinda done.

Craig it looks stellar! I can’t believe how much detail you’ve packed into this little thing.

That’s just too cool for school.

Please let us know how you are getting on!

Almost there. Got a bit absorbed in work for Miniature Scenery and the University. I’m hoping to enter a 1/35 version in Melbourne Model Expo on the weekend.
