They’re different vehicles. The 2A7A1 is the Bundeswehr-specific vehicle, modified from a 2A7. The A8 in the Amusing Hobby kit is a later, optimised version intended for international markets.

Bundeswehr Leopard 2 A8 will be different. I heard it will get the raised turret roof of the Swedish version.
