Is MiniArt 1/35 Sdkfz 234 a good build or no go?

Was wondering or should I go RFM???

I have the Miniart 234/1. in the stash. I am happy with mine. Mine is the one with the open top and the 20mm. The interior is nicely detailed, It’s the most detailed of the 234’s available I believe. It also comes with molded plastic tires instead of Vinal if that is an issue. The RFM will be the easiest to assemble but the ones who have built the Miniart kit said they had no issues in the build.

This is the one I have.

Awesome news thank you…

Go to Scalemates, download the instructions for the Mini-Art 234 you want and the RFM 234 you want. Compare what’s required to build either model.

Lot of it depends on what you like working with. For instance PE like the Mini-Art has on the jerry cans vs a plastic Jerry straps like RFM & Dragon offers.

Go with the one best matched to your interests & skill level.

If you don’t want to deal with an interior there are turreted versions.

I find Miniart kits to have too many parts sometimes when it´s not needed. I rather go for a RFM or Dragon kit.

Anyway, the MiniArt 234/2 with Luchs turret looks great!

I’m building this kit right now. Overall it’s a nice kit. It’s very detailed inside and out. It seems well engineered. But there are lots of small parts. You’ll need a good sprue cutter to get the parts off and there’s lots of parts clean up required (at least in my case). Track Link has several blogs going on the various 234’s. One’s just starting up on the Miniart 234/1.
