So, what do Italian tankers have in that cartridge belt bandoleer? I doubt they would be carrying rifle cartridges. Cannolis maybe.

I think it is a Model 1891 WWI-WWII Italian cavalry ammunition bandoleer with holster ring for the Bodeo M89 revolver & Beretta M34.
