I’m working on Tamiyas 1/48 J1N (Early) . From what I’ve gleaned they were built off J1N1C recon plane airframes. I know most Japanese recce birds were tasked with light bombing also and had bomb racks. The kit that is an actual purpose built night fighter has the racks (and shows them being used) … but not the late one, with radar. As a recon airframe would the early one have had the bomb racks? Or were they only attached on an as needed basis?
