Would it be at all feasible for the crew of a Jackal 2 in Afghanistan to be wearing No.5 Desert Combat Dress, or would they be in the later N0.8 Multi Terrain Pattern uniform?
Thanks,
Paul

British forces did not adopt the Multi-Terrain Pattern uniforms until 2010, so they were still using the No. 5 pattern uniform for a good portion of their involvement with ISAF.
3 Commando - Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
RAF Regiment - Camp Bastion.
SableLiger,
Yes, I thought that was the case.
However, the photos you included were of the Jackal 1.
Jackal 2 has the spare wheel located on the inside of the
vehicle, and the machine-gun mount is positioned further
forward, just behind the cab’s lateral roll-bar.
I wasn’t sure whether the MTP uniform would have been
standard issue by the time Jackal 2 entered service.
Paul
Well, after a little more research, the Jackal Mk2 entered service in 2009-2010, so I guess that the MTP camouflage would be correct for that time period.
