Fantastic. Do you use a retarder to blend ?

Such beautifully fine details on the face and the helmet cover. The way you have brought out the weave pattern on the cover, in particular the way it stretches over the contours of the helmet, are stunning and hugely realistic. The shadowing on the face coming from the left and gradually lightening around the nose, cheeks and eyes is very finely done- all leading up toward the eyes themselves with that piercing blue color and the carefully observed bags and wrinkles underneath.

Thanks. No, just water. I have a Patreon channel; there you can see several video tutorials explaining my method.

Superb job in every respect, flesh tones, uniform etc. Just amazing

How did you replicate the wool texture of the uniform? I see that’s very popular in figure painting now. Again simply amazing!

Thanks. Yes, I use the technique of pointillism around the uniform; this technique works well for large scale. You can see it with more depth in my tutorial videos on my Patreon.

Wonderful looking bust- I really like the way you have painted it with the light falling on the face, the front of the helmet and the upper shoulders.
