Thankx for all your praises, very much appreciated … but a few areas need a little more detailed attention …
And yes … after weathering and wear & tear one would hardly notice a big difference … But …

So I finished the camo with decals (Echelon & Archer) after I weathered and dirtied the running gear … test fitting the spare track links made me a little uncertain if this was concealing to much of the unique turret camo. What do you guys think … less is more ?
… adjusted the camo areas to a “hopefully” more accurate appearance:
The second skirt from the left needs a little more of a Brown “bulge” at the lower section I think … a broader appearance kind of …

My thoughts about the pattern, not your work. The side skirts overlap. They should be installed from the rear to the front so that things slide over them without catching an edge and knocking them off. Originally some crewman/ mechanic installed them wrong before they were painted. Someone installed them correctly after some point, leaving the unpainted stripes. They currently
are out of order from their initial painting.

Hey Top … better late then never !
I know I have seen fotos somewhere of Panther side-skirts painted separately during production. Sort of reflecting the pattern close to the tanks scheme but not perfectly “alining” as reflected in #231 original fotos. During transport and maintenance the skirts had to be removed and then remounted with more or less accuracy as you correctly stated.
One can see similar effect on KT indicating the turrets where painted on a rig prior to be married to the hull and also sporting “misaligned” patches.
Since specific and changing patterns where ordered/applied from autumn 1944 onwards this can be observed by many M.A.N & DB Panthers.
MHN introducing their “Striped” pattern seem to have painted the whole tanks with skirts attached.
